How to bet on corners with handicap?
October 8, 2019 | In: Asian Handicap
When a betting market has a handicap, what is sought is to give the weakest opponent – in theory – an advantage, and with handicapped corners the same happens.
Let’s take as example a match between Sevilla and Betis.
The most powerful team, in principle, is Sevilla; so you can find some odds for corners with a handicap of this style: Sevilla -5.5 / +5.5 Betis
This means that you will have to subtract 6 corner kicks from Sevilla in the match, or add six to Betis. Based on that:
If you bet on Sevilla, you will win as long as, after subtracting six corners from Sevilla or adding 6 to Betis, Sevilla has forced a larger number of corners in the end.
If you bet on Betis, you will win if – after subtracting six corner kicks from Sevilla or adding 6 to Betis – the latter ends the game with a higher total number.
