Asian Handicap 0.5 Explanation, examples and tips
July 24, 2018 | In: Asian Handicap
In Asian Handicap 0.5, the outsider gets half a goal lead – the effects are similar to normal handicap betting, but there are only 2 possible bets
Pretty easy is the Asian Handicap Bet 0.5:
The outsider gets half a goal lead and wins the Asian handicap bet not only in a win but also in a draw, because he has in tie this half goal lead more on the account.
If the favorite wins the game, he also wins the handicap bet, since a victory in the game requires at least a whole goal difference.
Example: Schalke (- 0.5) against Dortmund (+ 0.5) Betting odds 1,90 1,90
Schalke is the favorite in the match against Dortmund and receives a half goal handicap (- 0.5). Dortmund receives as outsiders, however, a half goal lead (+ 0.5).
Let’s say you put an amount of exactly 100 Euros on Schalke Handicap (- 0.5) with the odds 1.90
If Schalke wins the game, you have won the bet, payout 100 x 1.9 = 190 euros.
If the game ends in a draw or even Dortmund wins, then you have lost the bet and thus the bet.
Conversely, if you bet on Dortmund with handicap (+ 0.5) – In a victory of Dortmund or a draw you win the bet with 190 € payout, in a victory of the Schalke you go out empty.
This form of Asian handicap bet is well suited for tips on the outsider!
If you expect that the outsider will not lose the game then bet on Asian handicap (+ 0.5).
So you have both the draw and the victory of the outsider on your side – so you bet two possible betting outings with only one tip.
