Galatasaray have set their sights on Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Kim Kallstrom and Bolton Wanderers attacker Johan Elmander, the club’s new president Unal Aysal has revealed to Kanalturk.
The Istanbul side have been in disappointing form this term and are eager to add some fresh blood to their squad in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old Kallstrom joined Lyon from Stade Rennais in the summer of 2006 and has since made over 150 official appearances for the French titans. Nevertheless, he is reportedly looking for a new challenge and could leave Lyon in June.
Elmander, who has become a key player at Bolton since joining the club from Toulouse in 2008, has an expiring contract and is widely expected to leave Bolton on a Bosman move.
Aysal added that Galatasaray will not make any moves on the transfer market before signing a new coach though.
“Fatih Terim will be the first manager with whom we will meet,” said Aysal to Kanalturk.
The new president confirmed that Eric Gerets is also a candidate for the coaching job.
