Siena coach Antonio Conte has refused to comment on speculation linking him with a summer move to Juventus, claiming he is only focused on achieving promotion from Serie B with the Tuscany club.
The 41-year-old earned legend status during a 12-year playing career with Juventus which saw the former captain lift the Serie A title five times while also winning the Champions League.
Conte has been in charge of Siena since the beginning of the season and is on the verge of returning the club to Italy’s top division at the first attempt.
However, with four games to go, the coach is fully focused on winning promotion.
“It’s inevitable at this time of the year to hear these kinds of rumours. It’s nice to know that your work is appreciated, but they are just words and at the moment I have to just keep thinking about getting Siena promoted,” Conte told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I have said on more than one occasion that I am concentrated on Siena and we are close to achieving our objective.”
The coach, who is also being linked with possible summer switches to Napoli and Sampdoria, has previous experience of winning promotion from Serie B, having taken Bari up in 2009.
“For me, after promotion with Bari, this season is confirmation of my work and I have another year left on my contract,” he added.
Siena entertain Torino at the weekend needing just a point to secure their promotion.
