AC Milan’s Mathieu Flamini makes Scudetto point

Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini is eager to wrap up Scudetto matters on Saturday night when his side travel to Roma needing just one point to lift the Serie A title.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men are eight points above Inter and, with three games left, need a draw to be crowned champions for the first time since 2004 as they have the superior head-to-head record against the Nerazzurri having beat them in both derbies.
And Flamini, who has scored two goals in 20 games for his side this term, has set the tone.
“We just need a point. We are going to Roma to win this Scudetto,” Flamini told Sky Sport Italia.
“We also want the Coppa Italia, but for now we are thinking about Saturday. It would be a great joy.”
Coach Allegri appears to have delivered the success club president Silvio Berlusconi has been craving. The former Arsenal man hailed his coach, and said clarity of roles within the team was never an issue.
“He [Allegri] came with clear ideas. I like his system of play. We play and defend together. This is the football of the future,” he added.
“We have plenty of qualify in front of goal, and so we need the right balance.”
Tomorrow’s potential title-clincher at the Olimpico kicks off at 20:45 CET.
