April 8, 2011 | In: Articles

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have occupied the top two spots in the the current Castrol EDGE Performance Analysis Rankings for over a year. Barcelona’s brilliant number 10 is a mighty 253 rankings points ahead of his Real Madrid rival and a massive 303 points ahead of third-placed Gonzalo Higuain.

What does Ronaldo have to do to reel in the Blaugrana hero and go top of the Castrol Rankings? Now is your chance to find out as on Monday the experts who compile the stats for Castrol football will be on hand to answer the Messi – Ronaldo dilemma in our live Twitter debate.

Goal.com readers can pick the brains of the boffins who create the stats by sending your questions via Twitter to @castrolfootball or use #castrolqa.

Get your questions in to the Castrol EDGE Performance Analysts in advance of the live debate at 1330 BST on Monday. A few of the topics you may want to ask the experts are;

– Is there a bias towards goalkeepers?
– Why is there is only one Serie A player in the current Top 20?
– Why is Frank Lampard (4th) a hefty 32 places ahead of Xavi (36th)?

The Castrol Rankings have been a popular addition to Goal.com over the past year and there is little debate about Messi and Ronaldo occupying the top two spots. Castrol’s experts monitor every contribution a player makes in a game to create their unique analysis.

Little has been known how they compile the data…until now. This is your chance to quiz the experts and a number of Goal.com editors will also participate in the Twitter feed. Nominate your questions in advance to stand a better chance of being answered.

The Q&A session will take place on twitter from 1330 BST on Monday April 11. To ask your
question, simply either mention @castrolfootball or use #castrolqa.
